The purpose of this project was to better understand the connection / interaction between Indiana government agencies in order to make improvements. My role on this project was that of the chief data visualization specialist. I had one other computer graphics designer working under me. It was our responsibility to take a large raw data set given to us in the form of seven large packets of paper with lists of the different agencies, their affiliations with other agencies, their budget sizes. There was a great deal of redundant data that had to be filtered and clarified.

Our final solution was to generate these seven separate images in a large poster format that could be displayed at organizational meetings. We also distributed high resolution PDF versions of these images to various agency heads for them to study and discuss. The legend was created as a supplemental guide to understanding the visualizations after an initial cabinet meeting where these images were presented. This project gave me the opportunity to both meet and work for former Governor Kernan and former Lt. Governor Davis of Indiana.
